Syracuse draw control specialist Kate Mashewske and defender Katie Goodale earned Inside Lacrosse First Team All-American honors while attack Emma Tyrrell was named to the Second Team. Attacks Olivia Adamson and Emma Ward were listed as honorable mentions.

After earning IL Second Team All-American honors as a junior in 2022, Mashewske suffered a season-ending injury seven games into the 2023 season. In the early stretch of returning from her injury as a graduate student, Mashewske was initially inconsistent in the circle before hitting her stride to end the season.

Mashewske recorded 10 or more draw controls in five of SU’s last seven regular season games before averaging 14.33 per game in the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament. In the Orange’s NCAA Tournament game against Stony Brook, she won a season-high 20 — setting a new single-game NCAA Tournament program record — before winning 15 against Yale to help Syracuse advance to the Final Four.

Amid a record-breaking season, Goodale earned her first IL All-American honors. Goodale has led Syracuse in caused turnovers each season since 2022, which helped her earn an honorable mention in 2022. Though in 2024, Goodale elevated her game to a new level, setting SU’s single-season program record in caused turnovers (44 and counting). Goodale is one caused turnover away from becoming the program’s all-time leader.

Tyrrell earned Second Team honors for the first time in her career after being an honorable mention in 2023 and a Third Team honoree in 2022. Playing without her older sister Meaghan Tyrrell — SU’s all-time leader in points — and Megan Carney — the team’s leading 2023 scorer — Tyrrell established herself as Syracuse’s top offensive threat in 2024. Heading into Championship Weekend, her 70 goals and 91 points lead the Orange.

This is Adamson’s first time earning IL All-American recognition while it’s Ward’s second time after being a First Team honoree last year. Adamson’s 57 goals and 81 points are second on SU while Ward leads the team in assists with 37 and is third in points with 79.
