Former Syracuse guard Kennedi Perkins announced on social media Monday that she is transferring to Marquette. Perkins spent two seasons at SU, averaging 2.7 points, 1.1 rebounds and 0.7 assists across 10.0 minutes per game before entering the transfer portal on April 1.

Perkins served mostly as a reserve for the Orange, coming off the bench in 48 of her 52 appearances from 2022-24. Though she mostly came off the bench, Perkins was at the forefront of some of SU’s signature moments across its tied-for-program record 23 regular-season wins in 2023-24.

In Syracuse’s Round of 64 NCAA Tournament comeback win versus Arizona on March 23, Perkins was a perfect 4-for-4 from the field and posted a game-high +13 plus/minus in 23 minutes. Her performance came after playing 10 or more minutes in just two of SU’s previous 12 games.

Despite a stretch late in the season where she played limited minutes, Perkins was provided key minutes in the Orange’s wins versus then-No. 15 Florida State on Jan. 18 and then-No. 15 Louisville on Feb. 11.

With Perkins’ transfer and Dyaisha Fair’s departure to the WNBA, SU brought in LSU transfer Angelica Velez — ESPN’s No. 44 recruit in the class of 2023 — while Australia native Madeline Potts enrolled at SU early in January.
