Rondi received an offer from the Orange in April. The 6-foot-4, 250-pound Rondi is rated as a three-star recruit per 247Sports and ranked as the No. 86 defensive tackle in the class of 2019. Rondi is the second player to commit to SU in 2019, following slot receiver Courtney Jackson, and he is the first lineman to commit to Syracuse.
Rondi recorded 59 tackles last fall as a junior, including six for loss, two sacks and two fumble recoveries in 11 games played, per MaxPreps.com.
Verbal contracts are non-binding until the specified athlete signs a letter of intent.
