Live Nation and the JMA Wireless Dome announced Thursday that Billy Joel will perform on April 11, 2025. Sting will also join the Piano Man in the Dome.
To announce the upcoming concert, the Dome hosted a press conference featuring Syracuse University Marching Band and a cappella group Otto Tunes. Otto Tunes performed covers of Joel’s hit “The Longest Time” and “Everything Little Thing She Does” from the Police.
Joel’s performance with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Sting will be the first time the two have played together in New York.
This marks Joel’s eighth time in the Dome, breaking a record for most concerts in the stadium. A jersey with the no. 7 currently honors the Piano Man in the Dome.
Joel has a long-standing relationship with SU beyond his shows. In 2005, he donated $320,000 to the Setnor School of Music. The next year, he earned an honorary doctorate degree from SU and delivered that year’s commencement address. And in 2018, he sported an SU hat on CBS Sunday Morning.
Tickets will go on sale on Friday, Oct. 4 at 9 a.m. via Live Nation.
