Video: SU community members hold event celebrating Indigenous Peoples Day

Indigenous students and staff members at Syracuse University hosted an Indigenous Peoples’ Day celebration in the Orange Grove on Monday afternoon. Attendees of the event, hosted by The Native Student Program in the Office of Multicultural Affairs and Indigenous Students at Syracuse, presented posters and discussed the importance of the holiday. Organizers also highlighted issues that Indigenous people face today, such as violence against women and the Line 3 pipeline.
