The Emmys

Stevens: Video highlights from the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards

Fans of “Game of Thrones,” “The Daily Show,” “Veep” and “Olive Kitteridge” had a great time watching the Emmys last night, as these three shows dominated their respective categories and took home most of the awards in the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards.

Some memorable moments included speeches from Viola Davis who won for “How to Get Away with Murder” and Jon Hamm who finally won for his career-defining role as Don Draper in “Mad Men.” Hamm’s win comes after 16 nominations.

Andy Samberg put on a great show as host. A lot of his early jokes fell flat, but their quirkiness almost seem to fit in with the silence that followed them, sort of a David Letterman type of funny failure. Later in the show, his “Girls” joke brought the most laughs of the night.

But once again, The 2015 Emmys were just another awards show that was 2 hours too long and left you with a bad taste in your mouth. Hollywood thrives on worshiping Hollywood. See you next year.
